Default Really weird problem after installing EB

I downloaded Rome Total War patch 1.3, installed it, then installed 1.5. I then installed Europa Barbarorum 1.1, and then got 1.2. I see the EB folder in the Rome Total War folder, the EB play and the uninstalls in the main folder. Those are only things I see. Well, when I double click EB play...it runs, but it opens up regular vanilla total war...I don't even see anything to do with EB when I try to play.

Did my download get corrupted or something when I downloaded EB? I got the mod by torrent, since it was fastest for me. Is the torrent one bugged or something? Or did I make a mistake somewhere?

I reinstalled Rome Total War and tried installing everything again, and the same problem.

I have Windows 7, but I downloaded this mod a month back before I upgraded my PC (got a new motherboard+graphics card)...and it worked just fine on Windows 7. Can't be that.

The first try would be this:

Create a new shortcut to your RTW-exe. Edit the target line, and add '-mod:EB -ne -nm' without the '

If it does not help post again!

Thanks! That worked. Strange I had to do that, never had to do that before with this mod. I saw someone recommended doing something similar/the same in the Steam thread. But I have the disks, and its not the Steam version. Ah well.

Maybe it has something to do with my new hardware or something or an update to Windows...could be many reasons I guess. But in any case, it works now
