Overall enjoying the NTW experience. I do have a couple of gripes about how trade works, however.

    (1) When playing as England, I am unable to trade with any landlocked nations, even after having expanded to the point where I share a land border with them. The game only lets me trade if I have a sea route to them. This makes no sense. I should be able to trade with, say, Oldenburg by shipping goods from London to the Netherlands and then overland to Oldenburg via a common border. As a landlocked country like Prussia, I was able to have overland trade routes.

    (2) There needs to be some way to trade with the plethora of one-port small states that have naval bases (Kingdom of Sardinia, Sicily, Naples, etc.). Maybe make it possible for naval bases to have one sea trade route, or make a new hybrid building that can say, build frigates and trade ships.

England isn't a faction. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland is however a faction. This contains Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England.

    Anyways, onto the points...

    (1) You sure you can't trade with them? I have found in my Britain campaign when I took Paris and the surrounding cities, I was able to trade with the Belgians over a land border...

    (2) I kinda agree. There should be a port that provides hybrid stuff. Asin, it provides minor trade allowances plus access to medium-rate ships. Its a bit unfair when the Kingdom of Sardinia gets steamrollered cause it has no cash due to lack of ability to trade with anyone. As it stands now, there's nothing that can be done to change it.

Well, in James Bond movies they say "For England, James?" not "For the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, James?"

Well you raise two important issues, but.......

1)It has to do with having a direct land connection from your capital, it doesn't matter if a nearby territory is friendly or not. So for Great Britain, the only country you could trade on land with would be Scotland (if you freed them)

2)That would kind of ruin the point of having speacalized buildings at all. While yes it is annoying to be unable to trade with them, you can still get plenty of money as GB

In my British campaign, I am rolling in trade dough. When I am short of trading partners, I just liberate new ones. Just make sure they have trading ports instead of dockyards.

I think if you take Oldenburg you need a commodity in Oldenburg to trade to people... you can not trade nothing.

I 've captured Holland and Flanders as GB. I must check if I have trade with Oldenburg or next door countries.

Yes that's not right. I'm allied to Oldenburg and Holland has a border with them but can't trade.
