Is NTW worth it?

Does Napoleon Total War seem worth it? I have yet to buy it or play it. I would aprecciate it if I knew whether or not I should.

Much more polished, battles are alot more drawn out with very few imbalances *cough* unicorns *cough* but coming from Empire its very easy to adapt, although to get the feel it will take a few days.

I have been waiting for someone with an 'educated' opinion of the game (not a religiously devout Total War player who sees everything CA does as a magnificent improvement). I will now buy

So the majority of game rules are either "no rules" or "no unicorns" now? And is rifle/light infantry spam easily beatable with a balanced army?

Some people still do no artillery grassy flatalnds, no fixed is common or artillery/light inf caps, but no unicorn rules I've met.

It is interesting how huge an effect on lethality can mere figure on a barel have, that is why the godly stats !
