Was this a glitch?

During the Italian campaign I fought a battle then the next turn I noticed a set of crossed sabers on the terrain where the battle had been fought. I scrolled across it and it stated "Battle of Torino" I thought at the time that it was a nice gesture to mark where battles had been fought but since then I haven't seen another marker anywhere else.

So, has anyone else seen these crossed swords or did I get my hopes up for a bit of a glitch?

Nah it's not a glitch and it is a battle marker. Nice that that they brought them back isn't it xD

it's a feature which was left out in ETW, but reimplemented in NTW

If get a heroic victory or a decisive defeat one will appear.
