CTDs?

Every 30 minutes or so I get a CTD from multiplay. It can be while i'm chosing my units. It can be while the two main lines have just opened fire on each other. Or it can be when i've backed the enemy into the corner of the map, just before I gain my first ranked win.

I'm using vista btw. Anyone else experience this?

I used to have this in the beginning of ETW, but thankfully not in NTW. There was really no solution, since it seems to have been patched away (for me at least). I might look at cooling in your system and video drivers.

This is more a tech support than a multiplayer issue (despite it only happening in multi).

Hmm... Wouldn't I get a more imformative error message if it was the cooling? Rather than "napoleon total war has stopped working".

I'll turn off that blooming thing and turn down the AA to x2 and report back. I've never had a problem with overheating before, so I don't know of doing that will even help. I do have everything maxed apart from AA with is at x4, which looks fine and the camera lense thing... I didn't like the sound of that.
