I vaguely remember CA suggesting that some of the features from NTW would be carried over to ETW (it may have been only graphics stuff, I can't remember).

I hope they would carry also possibility to surrender for besieged settlements and some of technology tree issues

Its been stated already that they wont.
So why not they would carry some ETW to NTW. Why? because NTW looks good now that is brand new but I doubt it would last as long as ETW. Too small maps, places and room for fancy conquering campains around the world. ETW already lacks some theatres like HongKong China, SouthAfrica, SouthAmerica, East Africa Zanzibar and Oman Yemen and Saudi Arabia, Guinea Gulf land territories, Mali and Mauritania. Now CA denys us also Caribbeans, America, North africa and India. I hope in new DLCs playable in also in great campain or coalition campain as now it is called. I did not liked Warpath campain 'cause it was a standalone one, new provinces and faction did not combine in great campain so they get tiresome. If Egypt campain feature were also in coalition campain it would be a step further in game longevity.

Look, the simple fact of the matter is that ETW is tragically flawed, whether CA wants to admit it or not.
The future of this series is NTW. Expect to see, sooner or later, more areas of the map opened up as CA realizes this and begins properly merging the two games.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to live.

the reason is due to Technical issues
