Terrible sound performance

Here's the thing:
- my line infantry fires
- the line fired all at once (some (read: 2 or 3) misfired but meh)
- i see the muzzle flashes from the rifles
- I start to hear gunshots 2 seconds after the first man fired
-the gunshots sound like some weird machinegun (not all at once, but very randomnly scrambled (while most fired at the same time)
- same thing for cannons

I've been trying to look for new drivers or lowering the sound settings but none of this was necessary in Empire ...

Ok I have the sam poblem and I think its something to do with speeding up the game, then slowing it down again, the sound doesn't seem to be able to match. Could definately use a second opinion though.

ive got the same problem

Yeah, when I speed up or slow down the game, this effect persists for a few seconds after I turn it back to normal speed.

I've also had this.
It happens for me just after I've slowed down the speed of the game, like when my units have marched to the hilltop or whatever and start firing.
Not any other time for me really.

I also hear buzzing sounds when i zoom in to my troops.

Same thing happens here, except it happens to me when I haven't speed up or slowed down the game. It just happens, most noticeably with cannons. It's like the cannon firing sound doesn't even exist in my game.....
