Default mordor to strong on campaign map?

    Hi,
iīve got a question about the campaign, difficult is VH/VH (i play as isengard):

Mordor beated Gondor in the 80th turn?! And also fighting against Rohan...
Iīve wondering why rohan isnīt attacking me, so thats the reason!
Mordor also conquering the capital of eriador in an invasion!

How can that be? why is Mordor so strong??

Because that's what they are supposed to.
But campaigns turn out different. I've already seen campaigns where Gondor conquered Mordor and Harad, though most of the time Gondor is crushed. As a good faction you should try to help Gondor as soon as you can, but as you are palying as an evil faction you should be happy that a strong enemy is gone.

what's the fun of the game then? gondor is gone.. soon rohan will be gone. even eriador is weakened.
gondor is the most fun to destroy (together with elves maybe) and conquer espacially minas thirith! as a evil faction..

Sure. Give them less money to spend via cheats (add_money engeland -99999999 ) or campaign script (less king's purse). Personally I don't see the fun in making Mordor weaker, but hey everybody got his own preferences.

Attack Mordor, I've never done that as Isenguard, would be fun to do.

Against the power of Mordor there can be no victory.

I've been playing a VH/VH campaign as Isengard (version 1.41) and Mordor hasn't really even come close to defeating Gondor. Mordor owns most of the territories on the eastern bank of the Anduin (including both Osgiliaths) but hasn't been able to take Cair Andros and never makes any attempt on Minas Tirith. I think that the new Rammas Echor defenses help to keep Mordor at bay, since the forts must be confusing the AI or something. I'm at about turn 90 and I've never seen Gondor do this well in any of my campaigns to date. Mordor's attention does seem to be split, though, as they are doing a lot of fighting with the Silvan Elves in Mirkwood and they have taken some of the rebel provinces near Dale and Rhun.

I think the campaign really does turn out quite differently depending on your actions. I crushed Rohan (and claimed all of their lands) pretty early on so that may have limited some of Mordor's expansion plans. I also took the 2 provinces in Lothlorien from the Silvans so that may be why there is such intense fighting in Mirkwood.

That's true. One or two Rammas Echor forts is as far as they reach. Eventually, though, Gondor will be crushed because Harad will cut it in two parts (Dol Amroth and West- Arnach and East). My advice is: use an invasion to transport wuickly 3 stacks in Gondor. Take Cair Andros, Minas Tirith and wipe out some of their armies, and then, keep one or two settlements besieged and make them your vassals. It won't be hard, you know. Then you'll have the South settled and will be able to focus North. As will Mordor. If you don't attack, eventually Gondor will be "replaced" by Harad, but until then a lot of time will be lost and Gondor will attack you in Dunharrow for sure.

Mordor only seems to care about Osgiliath, and nothing more really

Mordor is never too strong. In fact, it can be never strong enough.

Assassins? Faction wiped out. Unlucky conquest? Faction wiped out.

Mordor was about to crush everything and everyone, save the Hobbit incident with the Ring
