Thankfully, it keeps all your settings (I think) and saved games (definitely). I did this, and it worked! Hopefully this can solve many of the CD-Key problems you have.
I have also heard that you need to capitalize the letters but that may have been hearsay. I do know that you can enter your Registry to find the value and change it manually but I would recommend against this if you aren't sure how. Good luck!

Bad thing about that is if someone on Gamespy hasalreadly registered with that code you still lose. Contact Sega support with copies of all boxes and receipts and request a new one.

Are you running on Vista/Win7? If so did you remember to delete the Sega folder in the Appdata folder? This might prevent a clean uninstall....

I have the exact same problem and your wasting your time.

Gamespy and CA refuse to help, and SEGA support completely ignore me, and i dont think if you showed them some pics of a case and disc they would give you another cd key.

You can check CD Key by going on Start/ Run/ Regedit and navigating your way through, although i did this and my CD Key is correct, all in capitals and with hyphens, yet Kingdoms online wont work.

Even better, my mate let me try his cd key for m2tw and Kingdoms worked online fine when i used his, but my CD Key isnt hacked before anyone says that (again) so why wont mine work!

My advice would be never buy a ing SEGA game again coz the support you receive is absolute bollocks.

OK so I have XP and well I disabled the firewall and multiplayer now works for M2TW but not for SS or Kingdoms its still coming up with the same error messsage so yeah i might try my luck with Sega I guess

Thanks again to all those who replied
