Only Great Britain remains of the once great coalition, and it's certain that Napoleon's ambitions of conquering the British isles is soon to become a reality.The Italian states, fear Napoleon's tremendous power, can they be persuaded to fight and bring balance back to Europe? The Ottomans, newly allied with the French, united by the common goal of Austria, with their former enemies dead, can they be turned against Napoleon? The Spanish, allies for centuries of the French, they too fear the French, what stops the French from taking Spain itself? Will they betray Napoleon, turn sides with their new allies, the Portuguese and fight along side the British and Scandinavians?

Napoleon is at his peak of power, but Europe must be liberated, Nation States must reappear from the French tyranny, and the balance of power must shift. Those who remain free of Napoleon's wraith must unite, and reach that one goal, Paris.

Modern scholars and theologists have long studied the history of the Papacy. Only recently discovered, documents have surfaced to shed light on the activities and events of the Papacy in the era of the middle ages. The age of holy wars, and wars for the lands of Europe and the east. Some of the documents may indeed contradict the accepted history of the Papacy and of Rome. Has the Papacy intentionally hid these documents for fear of their transgressions and horrors being revealed, or are they merely exaggerations and forgeries.

We will never truly know the authenticity of these reports and entries into the official record. It is merely one version of history. A history that is written by the victor. As you can see, the history presented in these documents is incomplete. They only give an infrequent account of what occurred during this period, and do not delve into the day to day lives of the people of the day. Some private journal entries have been discovered, perhaps preserved by someone long ago. They present the words of these people, but lack the emotion of what they must truly have felt.

It is truly a new light on the Papacy.

I was assigned to cover the devastating first Napoleonic War, and was attached to Lord Strathmere's army during his Spanish campaign in 1805...I was present at Orleans on December 14th, 1806, when Napoleon Bonaparte, the self-styled Emperor of Europe, was killed in battle. King Leopold I looks out from his balcony of his Royal Palace in Vienna. From the capital city of Austria, the entire empire is controlled. The King is the commander in chief, the man who must make all the decisions and is ultimately responsible for the rise or fall of the nation. The Austrian empire is a small power in the centre of Europe. Boxed in on all sides, the Ottomans threaten to the south, Poland-Lithuania blocks expansion east and a gathering of minor nations impede progress to the west and north. These are difficult times for the King, there has been increased pressure from the citizens and opposing ministers, the people are crying out for change. It has become clear to the King that this fledgling nation can no longer continue on it's present course. National borders must be expanded and rival nations conquered if Austria is to survive. Trade needs also to be pursued with developing nations to enrich our citizens and bring wealth to the young kingdom. King Leopold I has his work cut out for him, will he be able to rise to the occasion and lead this nation to victory? Or will he falter in the face of danger and let the empire wither away into nothingness? Only time will tell, deeds speak louder than any words.

Description: This is a Battle AAR, written in the form of a Bard's song, chronicling the rise of Carthaginian Power in my Campaign game. It revolves around the story of Bomilkar the Defender, a 27 Year Old Carthaginian General who has fought many successful battles in his Invasion of Italy. He has kicked the Brutii from Italian soil, Killed the Scipii and now sets his sights on Rome and Northern Italy.

The story focuses in on how he used his most powerful weapon in battle, the Round Shield Cavalry, to great effect in battles, killing Thousands upon Thousands of Romans with their lethal Falcatas.

Note: It isn't long, there are no pictures, and it might not amount to much, but I still hope you guys give it some thought.

It is the year 1720. Britain is firmly establishing itself as a power in the Americas. Already the Hurons have been surpressed, whilst the Iroquois are a fading power, reduced to a single territory, waiting in terror for the sight of the redcoats and their Hessian allies to come marching over the hills. The French territories of Quebec and Montreal have also fallen to the relentless British onslaught.

Further South, a small, but elite expeditionary force commanded by General Lionel Townshend has landed in and captured Georgia, before marching inland towards the Cherokee Territory. The army consists of several battalions of veteran line infantry, straight from their conquest over the pirates in the Caribbean. So far they have encountered little resistance from the natives, and so they march on their capital, confident in their ability to add this land into the rapidly expanding British Empire. As they approached the town of Chicasa, banners fluttering in the cool morning breeze in a show of strength, their scouts reported large amounts of enemy troop movement up ahead. As the redcoats formed up into battle lines and the artillery started to unlimber a shout goes up. More natives have appeared on the horizon behind them, whilst another army has appeared off to the West. There was no retreat now, they were surrounded. It was time to make a stand.

But when the Imperial army is almost wiped out in a botched attack on a Southern French city the commander of the war effort, a former politician and now an unexperienced commander, is forced to learn what it means to be a soldier and fight the massive French army. While fighting for his life in France Hermann Johannes must also combat his political enemies back in Rome, his own subordinates in the army and even the Emperor himself. Will he stop what he considers a foolish and unecessary war? Or will he be crushed by the tide of enemies that comes his way. We will find out amongst blood, sweat and the cry of "Fur das Heilige Reich!"
