On installing

This is my first mod I'm trying since I installed RTR in 2008.
Now, the whole IB seems rather confused. I hear a lot talk about Invasio Barbarorum (from people to Wikipedia) but all I see is splinter mods using resources from IB (Ruina Romae, Flagellum Dei..).
I decided to give a shot to Ruina Romae and Rio's BRG III. They both seem to work with individual directed shortcuts, but still they both demand a clean install of BI (which I have). I haven't installed neither of them yet because I wonder if I can use only one, and I can't really decide which one would be better. At least based on sub-forum postcounts Rio's BRG would be a more popular alternative, but then again..
So, can I use two IB mods at the same time?

You only need one clean install for all three sub mods. They all represent different periods of late roman history.
