Hey ca dunno if your used to using this thing called logic but when a one province minor rebels it probably shouldn't spawn ONE AND A HALF STACKS OF THREE CHEVRON VETERANS out of nowhere. Seriously fix it or don't make any more games. Rebel armies bigger than the original army was and who are somehow elite and experienced makes this game fail hard.

Also anyone who doesn't agree with mebout this is wrong.

You are very right, once I saw them with Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars units.

Yes, I have to agree. Not only are rebellions too frequent, but they are often much too 'large.' I would understand it in a major province, ut seriously, after Wurtenberg and Hessel rebelled for the third time each in my Prussia campaign and with massive armies, I just backed off and let Napoleon conquer the provinces. Better for him to have the headache.

Well insurrections were a big thing in Napoleon era so I'd expect it not to be easy to hold some territories,Spain,Russia especially. But Bavaria and Wurttemburg shouldn't be too hard.

Should've seen the one that spawned when I captured London as the French.

I don't have so much a problem with the numbers but the experience, who are these battle hardened rebels who just appeared in my region?!?....

Would be nice if we could hire mercenaries like in the old total wars, on the spot counters...

Been very stable for me, unlike ETW which would crash and get corrupt saves and buggy turns where crashing was inevitable so you had to start over. I use the Steam version, on a quad proc with 2gigs of RAM and a GTS250, 64-bit Win 7. Maybe gfx drivers need an update?

Lol I just found out about rebels earlier today when i took Paris. Lucky me I had 3 full armies around the city so i was able to take both rebel armies out in one turn....but then napoleon came out of no where with a full stack

Well that´s what you get for playing the TW series with Nvidia cards.... Had so many issues when I used the Nvidia cards but it´s common knowledge they don´t work well with this series of games. Since I "upgraded" to an ATI card i can now run the game on ultra instead of low.

Back to topic: Yes rebellions are a pain in the a** with those huge armies forming up.

And it doesn't crash on our computers so it's just yours.

Though since this is a new game stability is obviously an issue so hopefully they can identify it and solve it.

The rebellions did surprise me though but I was able to handle it no problem.

I took London, then eventually a 1 1/2 stack appeared with veterans though I should note these guys have NO generals and I was able to handle them. Though my guys were already veterans anyways and I was in London so they had to come to me to attack.

I wonder if that's why they are veterans, to make up for the fact that they have no generals which I find is a serious handicap. No generals means a weak army.

having a general would make a hell of a lot more sense than making them crack troops...

And you spent the entire pre release yelling ca praise so everyone opinions matter, except yours.

    Game crashes, end of story.

Oh my god. If there is someone in this forum who shouldn't come with any comments about the playability of the game its you. If he has been praising the game, u sure have been the counterpool. You've acted so hurt by CA someone would think Kieran slept with your wife, killed her and then buried her in the desert and you swore to get back on him. Everyone has the right to an opinion and you are just pathetic by saying such things since u do the exact same thing...

Uh sorry to burst your bubbles but I didn't yell any praise at all. Probably with all the screaming and whining you guys did my posts which I tried to be neutral probably sounded like praise to you.

And I'm not the only one here who stated the game doesn't crash.

Despite all the 'werl if yer dern leik ameriker dern git der heill ewt' style censors, I for one am glad the OP is here and posting. And with the near-unanimous renunciation of his claim that NTW crashes, one might have taken this to mean that NTW was what ETW should have been.
No one is denying his game crashed. This may shock you but people have hundreds of different types of computer and software configurations so obviously no company would be able to simulate every one. If he crashes, then he should get that log and send it to CA so they can document it (Though if I recall correctly whenever it does crash now the file gets sent by Windows itself).

Not too hard just extremely annoying to see 1600+ veteran troops suddenly appear in Saxony.

It would't be so bad except for their veteranancy which makes them very tough.
I thought about it and it's probably to do with the general system. Since the game no longer creates "Random General 102" they can't grab some historical general and put him in charge so they gave these troops veterancy. That's how I think. I would've preferred the old system in ETW where it was led by a general but who knows.

Though your not having too hard of a trouble handling them are you?

However, a quick glance at the multitude of issues found in the "Napoleon: Technical Help" sub-forum proves informative: NTW is not exactly the dream some paint it to be. For people like myself, with solid specs and a horrible ETW experience nonetheless, the honest opinion of posters such as the OP is exactly what is needed to warn us of what awaits on the other side of a transaction involving another CA product.

Thank you, Forlorn Hope. Much appreciated!
