Is it me...

Or is the GB campaign a bit boring? I haven't really played much of it but from what I played it was kind of boring. Napoleon never tried to invade and it was very easy to invade france on the first turn. I also didn't find as much naval combat as I thought I would. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me? Also I'm playing on H/H.

you will find that Napoleon more often than not is tied up in multi front wars to his east and has little time or resource to venture after you on the Island,just as it was in reality,he had many a long term idea to invade Britain but was constantly distracted by Eastern forces on his frontiers

Play the campaign as France, and you'll realize why he doesn't have the time and resources to build a fleet. There isn't a ton of naval combat as GB...but more than other nations. It's mostly about blockades and trade as GB...oh and about being filthy rich.

Prussian and French campaign is more fun. Try them.

Im playing GB and although there were a lot of naval battles at first, I've got all Spanish and French ports blockaded now. Brittany is independant and I captured Holland, Lot of land battles. The Spanish are determined to turf me out of Gib fort and my forces are getting low there. I took Balearics and Wellington is now on the way to Gib with a stack to attempt a march on Madrid. Not boring at all on h/h.The French are busy in the east so I'll try to take out Spain or make them accept peace.

I'm playing GB, is brilliant, I have won the seas and am now using my vast wealth to fund armies that I send into Europe to liberate small nations and help my allies. I also recently invaded Spain.
