Default How do I copy animation frames to other animations?

Hi! I'm making some animations, and for some of the units, I want to change both the starting and the final frames. The problem is that I don't know how to copy the initial frame to other animations for the same skeleton (so that they look smooth in battle, and not just a group of separate animations).

Does anyone know how to do this with 3DS?

check on your 3ds toolbar on the animations tab for something like
copy frame,i never tried to copy a frame
the other thing that you can do is to pick every vanilla animation you need from a sceleton to modificate
and write down every rotation numbers you use on the first and the last frame of every animation part of that sceleton and apply it from one to another

example:on anim1 delete all the frames beetwen the first and the last but not the first and the last, make your rotations on the first and the last frame, write down the rotation numbers,on anim2 delete again all the frames beetwen the first and the last but not the first and the last and use the rotation numbers that you used on the last frame of anim1 to the first frame of anim2 and so on,be carefull though because some animations have many bone rotations back and forth and not just one(like taking position from stand to stand ready)find the "peak frames" of that rotations and dont delete them too, only the in beetwen frames also you can ajust these "peak frames" with rotations to fit yor first and last frame rotations.

animations are a bit of heavy work...i found that for my self, but it worths to try,the result is very good.
gimme one to two days to try and find anything else on this.

I think I'll start doing this... Where are the rotation numbers?

    there are no rotation numbers,lol
rotation number, for example when you rotate the right hand bone 30 degrees vertical on the last frame of your anim1 then you will also rotate the right hand bone 30n degrees vertical on the first frame of your anim2.
    i hope you get it

Why won't copying the first one you edit and then editing the tweens on subsequent animations work?.

You mean, copying the first frame or the first complete animation? Cause I don't want to make a whole animation of the skeleton, just some parts, that's why I'm asking. I don't know how to copy a frame from one animation to another one, and I can't open 2 animations at the same time...

Lets say you make a new 'Stand to stand ready' including new start and end position, you make a copy of that and alter the in-betweens leaving your new start position.

Alternatively I'm pretty sure you can open 3dmax twice and copy and paste.

Or you can save scene, removing all the tweens each time you open it.
