If you press Insert while you have selected aunit, youll get into a 1st person view of that unit, it is very usefull using artillery, try it
sorry if this was in already in ETW or before games, but never notice untill today![]()

Muh signature is so out of date all muh pictures died.
ow damn, then sorry for the post :S
maybe it helps if someone hasnt noticed it :/
Yeah it was in ETW but was removed in one of the patches. Could never get it to work again.
I never knew this, thanks!![]()
Thanks for this. I had no idea. It helps out a bit with placement of cannons on hills. You can move from each person in each unit by scrolling with the mousewheel. If you're on the cannon when it fires, you follow the projectile on its course to the target in slow motion. Lol. It looks funnier than it sounds.
I would like when i'm in first person view to also be able to look around. It lags this feature!
"Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win"- Sun Tzu
Hey I suggest you try pressing " N " also.
It focuses the camera where your mouse pointer it.
Pretty nice too but causes frame drop.
I have not checked to see if it's in NTW but it's been there since ETW.
Greetings!
Dont remember if it was in Shogun, but am sure it was on Medieval.
Also, press Shift to have a speedier camera movement (works on Right Shift and arrows keys).

In ETW the insert option caused 3 crashes for me. Following "the final" cannonball into a building was just too much.
"the shot that got the building's damage percentage to 100.
R2TW stance: Ceterum autem censeo res publica delendam esse
thanks.I never knew it
Didn't know that. Not only helpful for artillery though, my infantry are always trying to shoot through hills
And when your soldier fires his musket, the camera follows the bullit. Very cool when he hits someone.
