Out of the three you listed Definity Valkryie. Though I've never seen Downfall, and Inglorious Bastards I refuse to watch, it's an insult to be an American movie because it makes me feel retarded to be an American, despite it is ment to be a comedy but really it was a bad subject, even Nazi's don't deserve mutilation!

Inglorious Bastards was a good laugh.

Downfall hands down. I was a bit surprised because it was all in subtitles, but definitely worth watching.
I will never receive the 2 hours if my life back from Inglorious Bastards. One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Didnt like Valyrie that much, its no fun when you know the ending. Inglorius Basterds is good, though not even close to Pulp Fiction.

Is this about movies from the German perspective, or movies just involving them? If the latter, Band of Brothers (actually a miniseries) is the best.

Downfall(Der Untergang). Not only superb acting but also a movie in which Germans actualy talk German.

Basterds is good. It might be a silly movie but there are some excellent scenes in it. The whole bar scene between the British officer and the actress and the SS officer was very tense and well done and the guy that played the principal antagonist was excellent.

    Downfall without a doupt.

Seriously though Inglorius Basterd is among the worst movies I have ever seen. Thankfully I fell asleep in the middle and did not to suffer the horror of watching all of it.

Then again it's a Tarantino movie. It will either be good or horrible, no middle ground.

Pointless dialogue? Dude, dialogue is a huge part of Tarantino movies. While I thought the ending was a bit silly concerning the German high command I found the rest of the movie very enjoyable. He did what he intended, which was sort of pay homage to old WWII movies like Where Eagles Dare and the Dirty Dozen which are two absolutely fantastic WWII films. What specific scenes are pointless to you? I found most of the dialogue to be excellent, especially (as I mentioned) the entire bar scene which was literally one of the tensest scenes in film, at least to me. Most of the time I don't get interested in what's going on and rarely find myself on 'the edge of my seat', but that scene had me on the edge of my seat and apprehensive.

And how can anyone deny Christopher Waltz's performance as that SS officer Hans Landa? I mean seriously, that has to be one of the best characters in movies and best performances in a long time. Not only was the character interesting, but Waltz was awesome. And of course other enjoyable characters like Pitt's Aldo Raine and the Nazi-hating German deserter Hugo Stiglitz. Even the British officer that gets dropped in has a certain interesting charm to him, despite his short screen time.

Well, Der Untergang is the only true nazi-perspective movie: the others are just laughable versions of stories: what's wrong with germans talking german ? Why are they always replaced by stupid Hollywood actors with a crappy nazi accent ??
