Rebeling generals
So far ive had 4!!! With the rebel trait. Right frim turn 1. How can i deal with them? I cant let them govern somewhere or lead a army as they will rebel so atm they just stand around outside cities. This seems like a huge waste of $$$. Ive managed to kill one off but the others run away before they die. How can i get rid of them? Thanks

Re: Rebeling generals
Yes... they are good heavy cavalry under a loyal general or just takes repeated tries but they will often die eventually. +loyalty ancillaries are few enough that only 1 rebel general can be saved usually and depending on time it takes sometimes its not even worth that to do the transfer. If you have 4 rebel generals that sounds a decent sized empire... do you really need all those 4? So cities will make a few hundreds less per turn, probably not going to cost you the campaign.

Re: Rebeling generals
What faction are you playing? HRE has some special circumstances that make generals into rebels.

Re: Rebeling generals
As HRE, keep an eye on your emperor's traits. Mine had "Inspires Civil War", which was not helpful. I also read of traits on his not respecting the nobility enough causing generals to rebel. Strip the offending generals of their armies, park them just outside cities and tough it out. Hopefully you'll have enough generals that remain loyal to use as governors. My finances took a huge hit until I redistributed governors.
All was resolved when emperor died. His heir did not have the negative traits and the rebellious generals returned to the fold after a few turns (not immediately, though).
