    Default Spanish strategy

So i've doneFrance and Russia on hard and Spain on normal. Now i'm trying Spain on hard and right away i am attacked by Savoy, Netherlands, Morocco/ Barbary, and UK. Not to mention there is no infrastructure in Italy or Flanders and barely any navy. Should i just let my other European regions fall and try to get them later when i have a navy?

The only two regions worth defending as Spain in Europe is Spain and Gibraltar with the possibility of Flanders. In fact, consider selling them, especially Milan. You can easily hold on to Naples with an alliance with the Italians.. Use part of your early fleet to plug up the Mediterranean and the other part to protect your port from pesky pirates. Try to take and hold Portugal and Morocco before they gain any momentum. Your initial armies plus a few guerrillas should suffice in taking out the Portuguese.

Early Spain, focus most of your effort into expanding your trade networks and American Empire(New Spain is filthy rich, so work fast to complete that acquisition mission.) If you want, you might also consider taking on India. Those Dutchmen have a settlement there that makes a good springboard for invasion, and if you let India grow, it'll become a monster. Also, the Europeans never seem to bother with India period, giving you a cash cow with almost no risks.
