Quad Core ?

I’m no expert on these things but my computers got a quad core 4 GB ram and ATi Radion 4850 card and I’m running Napoleon on far higher settings than Empire almost all ultra with all boxes ticked except vertical sync . Only setting I’ve turned down much is the anti-aliasing x2 I never notice it much.
On empire I had my Texture filtering set to Trilinear but tonight I tried Napoleon on Anistropic 8x and WOW it looks incredible the city the river everything totally incredible. My games running great only time it slows is with that “Troops are running” message and BS box but it seems to do that even if i turn down the settings.
I read somewhere that NTW has utilised all cores is that what has made the difference here ?

I agree, my Q9400 is Oc'd to 3.2 currently (put it in yesterday) and with my 8800gt's in SLI I am getting steady 55~60 FPS Vsync with everything except AF maxed @ 1920x1200.

It's insane.

He can get a quad core and see for himself.

And this isn't a tech "help" question.

Yeah the qaud core must be utilized in NTW.

In ETW I was never able to play with everything maxed out without any lag, even during battles where it is raining and have 2 full stacks running around it still runs very smooth.

Tell my about it, 60 frames a second maxed settings with huge explosions going off left and right.
