Chilean Earthquake: 1st hand account by me

hi guys.

you might have heard about an earthquake here in chile. i was in santiago, and im chilean. dont know if anyone knew or cared but whatever.

everything here is a mess. at least 150 people are dead. many buildings have collapsed. traffic and gas stations are packed. there hasnt been any looting and there have been a few replicas ( smaller seismic activity after an earthquake) but nothing serious. power just came back on and were doing fine.

thank god, my PC was intact and internet is fine. so, nothing much happening.

im gonna go play some TATW cause im bored now. cya later

wow, how could they not even notice it on the news, i saw the magnitude of this earthquake at school yesterday, school activity to triangulate earthquakes, is everyone ok? and good plan

i am glad ur building has a proper earthquake design. ofc every building can stand standardized earthquakes but when it comes to eq that magnitude... i studied a little on this and remember one case in chile when the only building who didnt collapse in a big area was the central bank building... i may be wrong on this, thought.

anyway enjoy ur gaming, i am not sure what else u can do. about the news, you would be amazed how many important happenings dont appear ni everydays news

If a big ol' tsunami is spawned because of this, and it hits an island and kills a lot of people, no one will remember poor Chile. "Oh, only 150 people? But the tsunami killed a bajillion because it hit a Pacific island!"

Glad to hear you are ok, we have been hearing news about that earthquake all day long, looks pretty serious. Hope anyone else on the TWC who is from Chile has gotten through the earthquake intact.
