I presume that its mainly civil wars which happen like that.
Bushbush got it, China was like that for quite some time.
There are very few examples.
Part of the Yugoslav breakup wars was tri-partite, and the civil war in British Palestine might count as one.

I think there was a situation like this after WWI between Polish, Soviets and Lithuanians, Poles and Soviets were at war and Lithuanians defended both against Soviets and Poles.
