There isnt much help I can think of aside from double check everything is plugged in and seated correctly - make sure the motherboard is seated correctly in particular, it could be shorting out through touching the case or something.

Are there any beeps or LEDs on the motherboard that could tell you something?

Youre sure you mounted the motherboard correctly and plugged everything in? Youre going to need to just experiment with the hardware and see what works.

If it was me id probably take the whole thing out of the case and (carefully) try and get it to power up with a bare minimum of components attached - ie no dvd/harddrive/graphics/soundcard. The goal at this point is probably to get it to not lose power immediately rather than anything more advanced than that. Once you get it set so it will stay powered up you can start reconnecting things until either you see whats causing the problem or everything just works.

    EDIT:

I may have misunderstood. Does the pc stay powered up or not?

In pulses?! There is something I've never heard before.

First off, if the CPU fan is not running consistently the CPU will overheat and get fried. The motherboard controls the CPU fan, so if it is literally pulsing on and off then you should first make certain the fan plugin is firmly connected, a loose connection might possibly cause it to pulse although that isn't likely, otherwise you should RMA the motherboard.

    Wait... what?

If a fan is pulsing on and off you will be able to see it, noone can't give you accurate suggestions unless you can find out exactly which one it is.

well I also tried to help poor Ujio, so far we've figured out that the fans work.

    I kid, I kid.

But I've been using the TWC chat to help him, so it might be a good ideas for you guys to log in there since it's much more direct.

After a rather lengthy conversation we finally managed to get this fixed. I think it was the ram socket, he never confirmed it though.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    [17:49] <Freddie> Are you there?
    [17:49] <Ujio> yes
    [17:49] <Ujio> not mentally now
[17:50] <Freddie> Ah good. Still having issues
[17:50] <Ujio> yes,was about to try a cable that came with the vid card
[17:51] <Freddie> I suggest you turn off the PC and take out the CMOS battery and leave it out for 5mins then put it back in and turn your PC on.
[17:51] <Freddie> What are your PC specs anyway?
[17:51] <Ujio> the pc im talking about is the one im on now
    [17:51] <Ujio> isn't*
[17:52] <The_Dutch_Devil> Hmm, interesting but why would removing it thevCMOS help
[17:52] <Freddie> It will reset the motherboard back to default settings, it's also fixed similer issues for me before.
    [17:52] <The_Dutch_Devil> ok
[17:53] <Freddie> No I meant what are specs of the PC your are trying to build?
    [17:53] <Ujio> ill try
[17:54] <Ujio> the same you told me ,except with a 5770
    [17:55] <The_Dutch_Devil> http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=331107
    [17:55] <The_Dutch_Devil> Over here freddie
[17:56] <Freddie> It's ok I've found the link. Did you plug in both your 24 pin power connector and the 8 pin power connection into the motherboard?
    [17:56] <Ujio> yes
[17:56] <Ujio> battery is out now btw
[17:57] <Freddie> Sorry Dutch have I missed something? If it's about the battery it's what I said, it will reset the BIOS back to default which can correct a lot problems with PC's not booting.
[17:57] <Freddie> good leave it a little while.
[17:58] <The_Dutch_Devil> well but he never had time to mess with the BIOS he assembled it today and it won't boot (it doesn't give a video signal)
[17:58] <Freddie> Gigabyte normally supply really good manuals I suggest you give that read as they will have an FAQ on this sort of thing.
[17:59] <Ujio> well i'm getting the feeling that its about the vid card
[17:59] <Ujio> did i tell you what happended?
[18:00] <Freddie> Hmm I'm just going back over your post, another you might want to check is all the front case connections have been plugged in correctly.
[18:00] <Freddie> Yes when the 6 pin power is out the fan spins slow and when it's in it spins fast?
    [18:00] <Ujio> other way
[18:00] <Freddie> Do you have another PCI-E video card from your old PC your can try out?
    [18:01] <Freddie> ok
    [18:01] <Ujio> no just a agp
[18:01] <The_Dutch_Devil> exactly that gives me the idea that it's a problem with the PSU
[18:02] *** Guest90003 has quit (Connection reset by peer)
[18:02] <Freddie> It might be the PSU but since your motherboard is powering up and LED's are coming on and the CPU fan spins etc I would be inclined to think it's the motherboard or video card.

[18:02] <Ujio> gonna try the battery now
[18:02] <Freddie> You could try this PSU in your old PC to make sure it works.
    [18:02] <Freddie> ok

    [18:11] <Ujio> see it?
[18:11] <Freddie> Downloading the manul now, it's a bit big
    [18:11] <The_Dutch_Devil> a bit?
[18:12] <The_Dutch_Devil> it slows my NTW downl
[18:12] <Freddie> 18 Mb's which takes a while when Sup Com 2 is already downloading
    [18:12] <The_Dutch_Devil> yeah ofcourse
[18:12] <Freddie> It's finished now, give me minite to look at it
[18:12] <The_Dutch_Devil> Freddie do you have NTW?
[18:13] <Freddie> Could you try making sure the ram is correctly and securely plugged in.
[18:14] <Freddie> Make sure the two clips are lock into the little groves on the side of module.
[18:14] <Freddie> Also take the video card out of the PCI-E socket and plug it back in again.
    [18:15] <Ujio> clips are locked,and i took out the card 4 a 5 times
[18:15] <Freddie> Also do the keyboard lights come on?
    [18:16] <Ujio> you mean the 4 leds?
[18:16] <Freddie> press num lock or caps lock
    [18:16] <Freddie> do they respond?
    [18:16] <Ujio> i dont have keyboard connecte

[18:18] <Freddie> Do you have friend who has a PC where you can tryout your video card?
    [18:18] <Ujio> which i don't get
    [18:18] <Ujio> no
    [18:18] <Ujio> maybe
    [18:20] <Ujio> man i'm stresed now ;(
[18:21] <The_Dutch_Devil> Have you tried plugging a keyboard and mouse in?
[18:21] <Freddie> It's handy to have spare parts or access to another PC so if you get problems like this it makes it easier to identify where the problem is. I suggest you start buy trying out your new PSU in your old PC and still if your old PC boots or not. If it does then we know the PSU is working which leaves the video card.
[18:21] <Ujio> how is that going to do it?i should get a display

    [18:23] <Ujio> should i hear a beep,i there is something wrong?
[18:23] <eggthief> Same Freddie of TWC I assume?
    [18:23] <Ujio> if*&
    [18:25] <Freddie> Yep
[18:25] <Ujio> you what's realy weird is that i get no ''display error'' when plugged into the new card
[18:26] <eggthief> The name and tech talk gave you away
    [18:26] <Freddie> lol
    [18:28] <Ujio> i give up
    [18:28] <The_Dutch_Devil> No
[18:28] <The_Dutch_Devil> don't, did you plug your keyboard in?
[18:28] <eggthief> Well from the little I read, could it not be your new GPU?
    [18:29] <The_Dutch_Devil> good morning Eggthief
[18:29] <Ujio> how could it be (not that your wrong)
    [18:29] <eggthief> Morning?
    [18:29] <The_Dutch_Devil> I meant it in a sarcastic way :p
[18:29] <eggthief> Well I assume that you just got a new video card and it isn't working?
    [18:29] <Ujio> no a whole new pc
[18:29] <Freddie> Ok it looks like a fulty video card but there are couple of things you can try before getting it sent back for a replacement. First unplug all the ram, look at the bottomo of the ram make sure it's clean and free of dirt and plug one stick into a differant socket (eg the white one instead of the blue one or vise versa) then try the other stick, also try plugging your video card into the 2nd PCI-E Socket, it's not as fast so if your PC boots up you will need to get the motherboard replaced as the 2nd socket only runs at 4x rather then 16x on this board.
[18:30] <eggthief> Or, put the new GPU in someone else's pc and see if it works then
    [18:31] <Ujio> trying the ram,already tried the 2nd slot
    [18:34] <Ujio> trying the ram,already tried the 2nd slot
    [18:35] <Ujio> ITS ING WORKING!
    [18:35] <The_Dutch_Devil> Yeah!
    [18:35] <The_Dutch_Devil> Wohooo
    [18:35] <Ujio> got display!
[18:35] <Freddie> Leave your rep at door please
