In your opinion, which patch do you think is/was the best for Empire?
See title, I'm just reinstalling Empire now and want to know what the community thinks the best patch is? From 1.2 and the first introduction of the melee bug to 1.4 and 1.5 with naval invasions and everything else. Which patch do you like the most and or makes the game the most playable/enjoyable?

I remember enjoying the BAI in 1.1, I think 1.0 was only around for a week or so.
The only thing that sucked was no Naval invasions at the time. Then 1.2 came along and gave me the melee bug thus making all battles disasters, so I stopped playing and waited for 1.3 which gave multithread support but still had the melee bug so I could enjoy it with better FPS. Then came 1.4 and I thought for sure the melee bug would be gone but it was still present however the CAI got better. 1.5 came along and changed nothing except make the CAI a little bit more aggressive, still had the melee bug.
To be fair 1.1 didn't have the melee bug which makes 80% of an AI army useless. It instead had the crisscross bug where the AI would overlap bits of it's line thus shooting it's own men in the back, this was later fixed and gave us the melee bug. The crisscross bug only made maybe 30% of an attacking AI army useless but at least the other 70% would be shooting back.
Now if you can give me the CAI that's in 1.5 and give me the BAI that's in NTW 1.0 then I would be content with empire as is (after modding out forts of course).

Hi there.
The 1.3 BAI was the last one before the melee-blob became part of the game. It was so much funnier to have a shooting content, than a fist fight.

I'd go with 1.3-I prefer shooting to stabbing. (mostly)

1.3 and none/other seem to be the most popular choices at the moment. Is there any way for us to revert back to 1.3? Indeed I remember this was the last patch before the melee blob of 1.4.
