Emm, you mean they don't have good enough cavalry? The only heavy cavalry in this mod are the elephants and the cataphracts and as far as I remember, Pontos had neither. Other than that, they have very good medium and light horse.
They have Khūveshavagān, which are heavy cavalry, just not real cataphracts. Also their bodyguard units are almost cataphracts. In Galatia, you get Galatian heavy cavalry as well.
Give us your evidence then and we will take a look at it. Coming onto our forums and demanding stuff because you want it is a good way to make us not listen to you. If you like EB so much, show us a little respect and give us something to work with other than "cos I say so".

Pontos was not the Ottoman Empire, SipahiThis mod is trying to be realistic. I certainly wouldn't mind Roman "Martian armored fanatics phalanx companion cohort" but there is almost no way of having them, although they were present in almost all the great battles of Rome - Asculum, Ilipa, Zama, Guagamela, Pharsalus, Alesia, Manzikert, Poitiers, Bannockburn, Mount Baddon, Breitensfeld, Borodino, Waterloo and Bastogne, to name a few.
Pontus Kingdom was one of successors of Achaemenid Empire. same culture same language same army system etc.

My point was that there is no difference between a "Persian splinter kingdom" and a "successor of Achaemenid Empire", they are both the same thing.Pontus was a Persian splinter kingdom not a successer state.
Your are right about the ruling family not being greek, as I said they were decended from the Persian rulers of Kios (although they did become very mixed later on).
Btw a lot of the Pontic army, especially in later times, actually was greek.
in Ancient era Sinope was greek yes, but in middle age Sinope was Turkish city. in ancient era Trapezous wasnt greek but Persian.
in middle age Trapezous became greek city, later became Turkish
The point still stands, there were Greeks in the Pontic Kingdom.
Also Trapezous was a greek city during the ancient era, it was founded by greeks and the people living there spoke greek from then until well into the Ottoman era, it may have payed tribute or been a part of the Persian Empire but that doesn't make them Persians.
