So whats the point of these howitzers?
The only difference i can see between them and regular Howitzers is their range... Exp-Howitzers have 120 range and the regular howitzers have 400 range, their firepower is the same so WTF?

Accuracy, reload speed ?
I like them.
The expiremental howitzer is the only one capable of shooting quicklime (it can't shoot chain).
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
They should at least give them 200 range, at least... there are rifle men who have a range of 100+ so... that sucks.
I havent played the game yet, but isnet the experimental howrizer from the 7 years war and not this time frame? and any screen shots?
No, actually I believe Robert Fulton was commissioned by Napoleon to build some steam driven iron clad gun boats for the projected invasion of Britain. They were like large gun barges intended to negate the British Naval advantage in the channel during the planned invasion.

hehe, if artillery is reduced to musket range, they dont sound very useful, no (im sure they pack a wallop for close range tho.. but its kind of useless if it means that when you can fire, it also means eating 160 musket balls from an angry mob of line infrantry![]()
Theres an ironclad in this game?!?!
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
It's not a real ironclad, more like an average ship with some iron protecting some parts of it... on the inside, since you don't see any iron on the outside... so actually it's not really an ironclad at all, regardless of whether they want to call it one.
The howitzer has more than 200 range, its default shot is canister for some reason...
Shoot coward! You are only going to kill a man!
PlacidDragon:
7 years war was in 1756-63,- that hardly makes it "futuristic" in the Napoleonic age...

Experimental howitzers have 400 range, just like normal howitzers. I find the normal ones better since they have laser guided projectiles though.
