    Find your user.script.txt, which can be normally found in a path similar to this: *user*\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts\user.script.txt

    Enter the following line: battle_camera_shake_enabled false;

    This should disable the camera shake all together. Mod wise, you can find the camera shake settings in battle_cameras.txt located in the data.pack and have a play.

    txs, but I don't see any user.script.txt file in napoleon/scripts. How should I name it - user.napoleon.script.txt perhaps?

    I just looked into this as I was questioning it as well. If you don't have a user.script.txt file you will need to create one. user.napoleon.script.txt doesn't seem to work ... or at least it doesn't work for the battle camera thing.

    The camera shake is trying to show you how war can turn the battle with fear.

    Without this feature this game will blow.

    But thankyou for the share anyway.

    Why? Camera shake is cool unless they do it to the level of Bourne Ultimatum. And I haven't gotten that yet.

    I agree im sure they do not understand that in real battles thiers always camera shake from tank fire cannon fire etc.

    They put the shake in to show what its like although a game wont be the real thing ..... so i guess i understand in some ways why you wnat it out but i love the camera shake.

    oh , Great! Thank you Sulan + rep

    and Dogs one count is the cannons one count is the melee fight ... you cant go more close than 20 mt that your screen goes up and down , and you have to move , so you will not enjoy the battle . and thats wierd and not real

    Its too much. Try a 4v4 game with at least 3 artillery batteries in action for each player - its like a constant earthquake.

    Thanks Sultan666.

    This file is also the one you will want to put your debug camera line into as well.

    "default_camera_type 2; # default_battle_camera <card32>, default battle camera: 0-totalwar 1-rts 2-debug #"

    If you like the freedom that the larger camera view gives you.

    I wouldn't mind the shaking if it was not so pervasive and violent...tone it down and not running constantly during a batle if I want to see close up action. It's really irritating when you want to observe the action close up and get nothing but violent camera movement...reminds me of poorly made battle scenes where the vibrating is there to mask the crappy special effects...in this case the effects are awesome and the vibration is overdone IMO.

    I like the shake during the actual battles, however, when watching my replays I would like it turned off.
    For this reason I would ask for the option to toggle it on\off.

    If you add the line : battle_camera_shake_enabled false;

    to : AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Napolean/scripts/preferences.script
    The shake does stop.
    However once the game is turned off the script line goes so you have to do it each time you play ..

    Anyway to make it stay ??

    You can make it permanent by creating a user.script.txt file in your scripts directory (if you don't already have this file then you must create it).

    Put this line into your user.scripts.txt file:

    battle_camera_shake_enabled false;

    Then start your Napoleon as normal. Works a treat. This method is better in my opinion than changing preferences.txt because its permanent and doesn't stop you fiddling with your graphics settings which setting read only on your preferences files will do.
