Combine/Merge RTW ALEXANDER BI and other MODs into one or single game.
Hi, i just started mod myself lately...
i searched a lot clues on how to do it..., and done a simple one myself.
i have a few questions, which i can't find on the internet........
1. how to mod things that RTW will still be playable online with out uncompatibility issue???
EX: Modify units function that is still playable online with other players, with out uncompatibility...
i know u can modify maps with out affecting online games, is their any other change on unit function or ablity that will be compatible online games???

2. is their a way to combine different mod into one mod or single game???
EX: Combine/Merge RTW ALEXANDER BI and other MODs into one or single game.
i want to start a project that will combine multiple mod into one, any body want to help or have any ideas on how to start...

3. I mod by using the mod switch functionality availiable on rtw 1.5, the latest version only. So my mod does not change the original RTW game files, i create new folder and shortcut for my mod, so it will not affect the original game in any way...
i apprate it if any body can answer my question and give clues on how to do it, thanks.........

Re: Combine/Merge RTW ALEXANDER BI and other MODs into one or single game.
i have completed combining, the rtw era into one, using the vinilla rtw as the switch base,,, but only works for cutume battle for single player or multiplayer........
it does not affect the campaign of the orginal game, i just picked some unit that are unique in the BI and Alexander and put it in the vanilla..... it works pretty good.. anybody interested....

rome total war eras merge mod
Rome Total War RTWERASMERGE MOD readme
this mod combines the RTW vanilla, BI, an Alexander unit into one mod....
this mod use the mod switch, so it does not affect your original rome total war eras game...
it't only moded to make custome battle more balanced and fun, so it does not affect the campaign of the game......
it only add new unit from BI and Alexander so custome battle would contain unit from BI and Alexander....
since, it has restriction, i only choose what i think its unique, so don't expect too much, but all unit
should be familirize with any who play the rome totala total war era...
to install just unzip the files into ur rome total war folder and it should work with my shortcut,
if not, u may need to change the shorcut to point to ur rome total war exe file....
for me it is
"C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err -nm -mod:RTWERASMERGE
you may have installed into the activition folder or some other folder, so change according to ur instatalling.......
