Mod Foldered?
It seems some of the mods are mod foldered and some are not. Could someone tell me which ones are and which ones are not? I would really appreciate it - so much so that if your in Ft. Lauderdale let me know and I'll buy you a beer at one of my favorite pubs. You can email me at rick.e.allen@comcast.net.
Yes. I just bought the game.

Re: Mod Foldered?
Hi Rick; welcome to the Total War Center with ETW. I really hope you enjoy your visit here with us, and the great mods out there for this game. Now I stand to be corrected here, "BUT" very few of the mods/addons are foldered. Most unzip or unrar, and the pack files as they are known drop into your data folder. Then you either use Mod Manager 1.5, to select the mods you want to run and then launch through the MM, or add the mods to your scripts (in another place inside a separate folder) and they will launch that way. Personally "IF" I was to start today. I would add AUM 3.0, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=250655, the UPC file, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=259541 and maybe grab some sounds from Brigadier Graham for your favorite faction. Then later get into more advance permanent mods that alter some of the game files. But you should know by then "how" to work with the different files and have some knowledge of troubleshooting when things go wrong, and they will, trust me, there are a few annoyances that have never been fixed or improved.
Good Luck mate and someone is always around to help and give more advice

Re: Mod Foldered?
Mod folder has nothing to do with the mod files that go to data folder or the way you activate it, but if overwrites or not vanilla files. You can understand which one is or not by checking the installation instructions. If it says that you need to keep a backup for files like startpos then it is not modfoldered. If it says nothing then it is. Though the modofolder mods do say that they are modfoldered!
