What about ETW?
OK, I read nice things about NTW. I wonder if they will, at least up to a point, be implemented in ETW. I mean, Napoleonic era is good. But 18th century and revolutions are also good.
And I just wish my ####ing neighbors stop attacking me for no reason other than we have a land border!I hated that even in M2TW.

i wonder this too.
hearing that napolean is a good game has restored some of my faith in CA, but i paid money for empire and i still want it to work.
since napolean is so well polished i fear that CA is just going to forget about empire when it would be relativly easy to fix it.
they could at least reverse their stance and give us the modding tools.
Hearing that napolean is so good im sure i will buy it eventually, but i want to know what CA will do about empire and if they wont fix it or release modding tools, maybe they will release moddding tools for napolean so we can make a mod with it in the ETW setting, but with all the improvements of NTW?

No modding tools are forthcoming. CA has said it is up to the fans to create them. No integration for ETW is forthcoming. CA has said they will fix the melee bug and that's it. All we've gleaned since then is that one staff member has volunteered his time to work on it, so no word on when it is coming. Beyond that, no bug fixes are in the works, so do not expect the AI to retreat, fort walls to be repairable, reinforcements to be made optional, etc.

Well I've enjoyed playing ETW. Not vanilla of course since the first mods came out and if the BAI could be fixed I doubt I'd play NTW much. Having said that,NTW arrives tomorrow so we'll see if it's as good as people say. I don't know too much about 18th century but the Nap. era is my favourite period so I'll be very critical ....cannon balls causing craters is annoying even before I've played it.

A word of caution, unless NTW is flawless you NTW should beware, CA will do to you what they did to us after 5 months, they will announce [nexttitleinline]TW and stop caring about NTW...
