the best way to do this is to modify each unit manually...and leave the preferences script @ 1.0x

I did this and its awesome. Square formations dont work with 4 times the max lol, but i recommend NOT doing it with mods like Napoleonic Total War 3 or anything that already increased unit sizes. I had a battle at 3.1x and in doing so had 950 or so men in a unit with NTW3, and battles are almost unplayable since there is so many units.
