AI Naval Invasions of the British Isles

I posted this in another topic although it didn't generate much attention, but I do believe it is quite an important discussion for the campaign ai.

I know it's probably too early for anyone to have seen this but has anyone who is playing the coalition grand campaign as Great Britain or other close nations seen naval invasions of the British Isles? I'm pretty sure some people reported naval invasions for Empire Total war after a few patches but I personally never saw any invasions of the British Isles myself. I hope they happen at least a little bit more regularly than they did with Empire Total War, especially considering the 'Grand' campaign map only includes Europe and how Napoleon actually planned to invade the UK.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can kindly report back on this,

Actually, the chance of seeing this, even if the AI does it, is pretty slim. An enemy AI that is working well will not attempt such an invasion until the seas are controlled, and the chance of anyone doing this over GB is pretty small.

I plan on sinking into a GB campaign this weekend, and I'll let you know.

I had this happen to me already. I was asked by Austria to join them in a war against the Ottoman Empire. I assumed that it would be easy enough since they were on the other side of the map, so it would be a hollow promise. I had moved my main armies into France, Bretagne was given as an objective. While my navy was in port in France I saw a Turkish ship flash by during their turn. When my next turn began, there was a Turkish army standing around Swansea. It was not a large one, just a General, 3 artillery and 4 Foot so I took nearly full stack that I was about to send to France over and defeated them in detail. My fleet then caught their navy and sent it to the bottom. This was on the default difficulty settings.
