    Default steam?

Is steam once again forced down on the masses? or did ca/sega learn somthing from their last steam adventure?? I heard a rumour that we could buy a retail version that was not steamdependant. If that is true I might actually consider buying the game just to support that development!I mean it.

So are we finally free from jail(steam)?? that is the question!

No, you have to use steam to play Napoleon and I think steam isn't the worst. Actually i learn to love steam on chrismas with the lowprice offers. The new Ubisoft Protection thing is bad, but steam is really nice.

Yeah apart from stupid release dates and such, Steam has made my gaming alot easier.
My bank account wouldn't be as fond of Steam however, for those days when i'm at home... bored... and those tempting Steam deals.

It's just so easy to buy a game on Steam haha.

The release dates really are Sega/CA's fault, STeam just do what their told to do release wise for 3rd party games...

Shoot coward! You are only going to kill a man!

So, we will need internet connection to install NTW? So, we can say again: Bye bye offline players!

I dislike Steam, but it's not as bad as Ubisoft's OSP, where you must be connected to their online service each and every time you play their games, even single-player. Anyone with a dodgy net connection is essentially screwed, as a small hiccup or downtime kicks you from the game. At least Steam can be used offline, once the game is registered.

I have been torn about steam...

However, I just bought a hard copy of N:TW and one of the DVD's was damaged- I was unable to read the second disk. About 30 mins of frustration trying different things and then I noticed after a restart that steam was downloading the game- (of course I should have thought of this before, but I didn't) So, I felt better. Steam actually saved me time and headaches. So that was a plus.

As I said, try Ubisoft for size, the words "royally" and "screwed" take on a whole new meaning.

I think it should be possible to connect once to registred your Game and than you will not need internet again for this. Internet should be standart for the most people who play games and if you have a offline gaming pc you will find ways to connect them for internet, maybe by a friend or so on.

Hey look! The Steam requiring internet to play myth! Again! Dude, requiring internet to install is not the same as requiring internet to play. Once again, Steam is not Ubisoft. Offline players are still able to play in offline mode.
