the 25th.

Now, we all know about the confusion of the release date.
I pre-ordered the Imperial edition from play.com and i now have the box right next to me, i thought "considering the release date is the 25th i can get up, get the mail and go straight on it"

I put the disc in, entered the activation key and apparently the product isn't available in my country? Well... other UK customers are playing?

So i looked on steam, oh yeah the release date is the 25th that is true, ONLY AROUND 11PM, WHAT SORT OF STUPID RELEASE IS THAT?!

That is ridiculous...

Sorry i know people don't like reading rants. I'm sure i'm not the only one who has had this problem however.

I have that problem too. Properly annoyed. They might as well have said the 26th because that's when I'll be playing it by the looks of things.

I think the release time for Europe is 00:00 on the 26th (Central European Time) which makes it 11pm on the 25th for us in the UK. I can see the logic behind it but it doesn't help me when I can come on here and read all these reports of people playing the game in the US!

Pretty much my reasoning as well. At least 12 hours plus of downloading time can be slept through!

"This game will unlock in approximately 9 hours"

"Current time 15:32"

9:00 + 15:32 = 00:32 (26th feb 2010)

You're from somewhere in Europe right? when you posted that it was 14:32 here, it's 11pm when it's released here.

Yes, I can only install my game at 23:00 GMT. I'll just have to go back to playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in MP.....

I'd expect the servers to be under stress at that time though.....

Yeah its the same song and dance as when they released ETW. Everyone was trying to figure out what time it was being released for DL on the East Coast of the US. I think the time they gave was like 11 PM on the West Coast, which made it like 3 AM on the East Coast. Which is insane.

I've tried changing my download region and that has no effect on when the game is available - I presume it's somehow tied into where your Steam account originates.

Im from Ireland and was in gamestop today. i have it pre-orderd a wile they said tomorrow so thats the release date here anyway. your game wont unlock till tomorrow

So you know people who have ordered the disc copy in Europe, do you get it tomorrow? or did you all get it today and have to wait?

I preordered it from Steam, so i'll be able to download at midnight.
