Steam Problem I’ve got two copies

I pre ordered Napoleon standard game on steam so it will download later but the wife’s just told me that she has got me the imperial edition from Amazon as a Birthday present
Steam will install the game can I install the extra units from the imperial edition into it? or will I have two copies of napoleon under my steam user name? Be glad of some help.

AFAIK There are separate CD keys for the unit packs so you should be able to install those on top of the game. And then give the key for the game itself to a friend or something.

He would have to actually give him the DVD game in that case I think. But the units he should have seperate keys that he can add to steam I think.

If you have not downloaded the game yet you might be able to return the game to steam.... But I think its too late now for that and might cause problems.
