Pergamum hoplites or pikemen
just a quick question i have not been too lucky finding sources but was pergamum a successor state or not and if it was should their infantry (barring the awesome pergamum hoplites) be phalanx pikemen instead of phalanx hoplites i know this is being addressed in RS2 with agema phalangites

Re: Pergamum hoplites or pikemen
Im not sure, but i thought that pergamum was what was left after whichever successor state that controlled asia minor and syria collapsed. So if i didnt make that up i guess they were indirectly a successor state just not under th name of the kingdom of pergamum. I dont know what there infantry would have been though.

Re: Pergamum hoplites or pikemen
It is ruled by the Attalid dynasty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attalid). Pergamon is the successor state to the Lysimachian Empire(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lysimachus), a successor state to the Macedonian Empire. It stands where the legendary city of Troy once stood, and it was a Greek City-State until Macedon took control.
