Call me wierd but i love to watch ships while they sink slooowly...

As we all know land battles is still not perfect even in N:TW there is still improvements to be made, but one thing i personally love is the naval battles.

The naval battles are great but i just cant stop watching ships exploding or sinking, it is the best thing ever in N.TW

For some reason its harder to make ships explode now, i have only seen it happen a few times, sadly i didnt have fraps turned on when it happened.

As you can see my fleet is superior, most of the enemy's fleet was tradeships just make them sink faster mwhahaha.

i love the way the ships move over and look like they are going to tip over on their side when hit with a pretty powerful blast. that wasn't in empire.

unfortunaly theese heavy first rate cost s in upkeep, i only have one fleet and one army right now, thats pretty much all i can afford and i got tradeships everywhere.

thanks, the reason im fighting smaller ships is theese ships cost to much, i dont want to loose them in a even fight, it doesnt matter if they get damaged, can always repair them.

I mostly go after their cashcows aka tradeships, even if they still have trade contracts they wont be able to maintain a fleet of first rates.

I also enjoy watching those slow sinking ships as well as reeling for broadsides. Its particularly great to watch a British first rate go down after being outmaneuvered by my french 74's!

I understand - personally I'm a little uneasy with my love of marching my favourite units into massed canister shot.

i just love to watch it everytime, it never sinks the same way.

Its not just me then, they must of reduced the chance for a magazine explosion. I like the new repair feature, watching all the men scurrying about on deck patching up the holes left by cannon fire. I thought they would've just done it the easy way and just reverse the visual damage on the ship but instead you'll see lengths of timber hammered onto the sides to help give the ship a little more structural integrity.

They also fixed the compass being blurred by the depth of field effect, and the new volumetic fog effects work even better at sea.
