    Default Improvement-Yes

From my first impressions of napoleon total war i must say that it is an improvement over empire total war. They added alot of minor touches that really add to the game. Especially in the effects department. And its nice to see that the clone troopers have disappeared as well. I have a high end pc so i can really enjoy napoleon for what its meant to be. One bug i have seen in game is that sometimes cavalry for reasons unbeknown to me seem to run in the oppostite direction of the intended target. Even if you click attack a hundred times they will still run in the opposite direction and no they are not routing. Even so these minor glitches should be worked out soon enough. My great hope is with dartmod. Seeing what he did with empire i cant wait to see what kind of stuff he comes up with for napoleon. This games got alot of potential thats for sure. Anyhow im sure that people are going to start finding lots of bugs but even so this game is going to be awesome about 3-6 months from now when most of the problems are resolved that im sure people r going to start to complaining about soon.

Did you have skirmish mode enabled? They seem to keep more distance than you are used to for skirmishing.

They pick out the stragglers in a retreating enemy formation before taking out the main body. Sometimes this confuses them and they seem to run alongside the enemy instead of charging at them. It's a bug I've noticed in every game since RTW. :p

If you can afford to micromanage the cavalry a bit, send them in the direction of the bulk of the unit you wish to attack. At a certain point, fairly close, they will recognize the unit you're actually trying to hit. Did it to me a lot in Empire as well
