Thread: My meaningless thread, renamed since the last one was misleading

Just installed the game and so far so good. I only had about 20 minutes to play. I loaded up a sp battle 1v1. I was shocked when I watched the ai send a flanking force of skirmishers and 4:12:54 PM dragoons on my unprotected rt flank. The ai is definitely improved. They placed their line infantry about 50 yards in front of mine and exchanged volleys. I'm impressed! When I first loaded the game I was angry when I noticed there was something like 12 battle maps and none were listed as 1v1. What? I soon realized that that was the max players for that map. One is listed as 2v2 and the rest 4v4 meaning all can be played 1v1 or whatever. I still wish there was more maps to choose from but that may change in the future.

I think the maps are really a lot better than they have been in any other total war game, no more flat landscape or anything. A lot more definable and strategic landforms and stuff like that.

really? That's really nice. In video's I've seen maps with much more trees and hills etc. this way battles are more fun

I had a thought that there was an advertisement on the back of the NTW manual or something for ETW, something like 'the most challenging total war ever!' or something
