Posting it now guys.. sorry been a rough weekend.. and not in a good way. Children I tell you are a blessing and a curse.... blessing and a curse.
Okay It may be an obvious answer but how do i make my image shorter while still keeping the correct proportions. I can make the signature smaller or i can reduce the hight but then it looks out of proportion is there a way to just remove part of the signature. Its fine but too tall. Please fix the height.
You could have followed the instructions in the beginning of the lesson.
The right image size is very important. Noobs tend to make their sig as big as possible, but smaller sigs can achieve a far better effect for the most time. I usually use a size around 430x140, with a transparent background.
Alex... if you go to the image menu at the top there should be a bunch of commands. one of which should be canvas size try that one out sir!
Thanks i know i am a bit of a noob when it comes to photoshop and it was my mistake. I just wondered if there was a way to make it shorter without doing it all again

You should then have a program that comes with photoshop, wich name escapes me, that is the animation program. This program has been included in later versions of PS.
ImageReady
In lesson 4 how do I "turn off" the layers?

odd I can see them totally.
Im having trouble finding the black -white adjustment layer . I ve checked the internet,it says that if you dont have b-w you should try channel mixer ,what i do have .
After selecting this, i can only change to gray when i check the monochrome box . But no b-w .

This is strange
Apparently, a black and white adjustment layer is not available in the CS2 version and older. Instead, choose "hue/saturation" and set saturation to -100. It is the same effect.
