Can't play France in Campaign ?

I have heard that, is it right ? There isn't any big campaign where we can choose every country ?

there is the Napoleon Story mode:
Italy
Egypt
Europe (IS A GRAND CAMPAIGN BUT ONLY PLAYABLE AS FRANCE)

and there is the campaigns of the coalition
with Prussia, Austria, Great Britain and Russia playable

There is the Coalition Campaign where you can play as: Russia, Prussia, Austria, and G.B.

And there are Napoleon's campaigns where after you win in Italy and Egypt, you can play the GC as France

You don't even have to win...you just have to start a campaign. You can exit back to menu and the next option will be open.

What, really? I wish I'd have noticed that. :p

Eventually we'll unlock the smaller factions for the Coalition campaign, I'm sure. Perhaps even France too, so we can have non-historical goals if we want. You can play however you like on the French European campaign, but you won't "win" unless you follow their silly objectives (no, I'm *not* going to be a loser at diplomacy and I'm *NOT* invading Russia, thank you!).

The smaller campaigns are still cool so it's not like they shouldn't be played.

agreed. the Italian one is quite alot of fun.

Oh, it is... I just like my French Empire, is all. I've been waiting a looong time for this to happen in a TW game, so I got impatient.

i will do this to. although i really liked the Italian campaign, the Egyptian one doesnt really interest me.

I was having fun in the Italian campaign before I realized I was on a pretty tight time limit, and ended up having to implement a scorched earth policy and force Napoleon's army all the way to the objective province. It felt so wrong losing so many provinces to rebellions or rogue Austrian armies on the way there.

This same thing happened to me. I was in early october 1796 I believe, with only 3 or 4 regions under my control when I realized I had only until late december 1797 to complete the campaign

Really? I finished my campaign in late March 1797. I did get help from Piedmont, Lucco, and Tuscany though, so maybe that's why it was easier for me (Played on VH/H)

I was taking it slow, taking a region and waiting for my army to recover. Also I spent the bulk of my time going after the capital of Piedmont.

Yeah, I took my sweet time with Piedmont before realizing I had about 14 months left in the campaign. I had taken most of their territories because I didn't want a protectorate when I could have it for myself lol

Can you play as france in the multiplayer grand campaign?

Yes, along with some other countries like Spain or Sweden.

How many factions can you choose from in the multiplayer grand campaign?

Blast, guess I was wrong. I must have mixed it up with the custom battles. It's only France, and the 4 coalition nations at the moment.
