Can anyone connect to a game?

Alright, I've tried time and time again but i've finally just got so frustrated I decided to post here

Why is the ETW connection system so poor? I've tried to join many games and almost 100% of the time I just get a message "no response from the host". Sure, i've managed to join the odd game but I just don't understand why I cannot connect to the majority of the games avaliable.

and before you ask, I don't join games which are locked/red - in progress

I'm really stumped here, any help?

if ure trying to play games with friends then hamachi is the way to go

if ure trying to join games against randoms then i dont think theres much u can do unfortunately. someones mentioned something about routers or something but im not very techy at all and someone else would be much better able to explain.

Are you running any mods? Have you tried to just host games of your own (this is what I always do and I get games without problems)? And what is your Steam download region set to (you can check this by going to File>Settings>Downloads from the Steam taskbar)?

Does the Online thing go by Region, IE i live in Australia and can only play against other Australians or something?

afaik the only games u see in the ETW lobby are from games in the same dl region (so to an even smaller extent than australia, were talking whatever state ure in) and also any battles that ur friends are in
