The Swedish line approach with fury against the bright red and white line of the Polish infantry. The Polish released 1 full volley into the Swedes, but only taking out a handful here and there...... then the Swedes charged into the Poles. Smoke has risen in the air, as the Polish line infantry fixed bayonets and tried to beat the Swedes back. The Swedish troops stabbed and slashed though the Polish lines, while the Poles tried to fight back. The brave men from the Polish 1st battalion on the left flank of the Polish started to roll over the right flank of the Sweds.... when a new wave of Sweds slammed into them.... The Poles who still had bullets in the barrels press the triggers.... putting lead into some unlucky Sweds who fell dead instantly.... but they kept on coming. The Polish line is to be swept aside.... When the Majestic Polish Hussars arrive on the field, riding at full speed at the Sweds. They charged into the line, yelling "For Poland!" as the Polish foot troops surge forward.....as the Swedish line starts to collapse..... The Polish continued on, killing and slashing as they go until they were able to raise the Polish Flag on the field at the end....

[ The Polish and the Swedes had been fighting a long and bloody war. Many men could not even remember when – or why – it began. All they knew was that they were sitting on this accursed battlefield, waiting for morning.

The Polish were defending their homeland. A junior commander by the name of Ladislaus Rajski sat by the campfire with some of his men. “I hope our allies last the night until reinforcements can arrive,” he mused.

“I hope WE can last the night,” another man said.

“We will; you must have faith. The Blessed Lady of Czestochowa is watching over us. As long as she here with us…” Rajski’s voice was drowned out by the whistling of a canon ball. “Rally, men, rally!” Rajski rattled his saber. The men mustered. The nettle was long and hard. Many men died. Rajski was among them.

“What will we do; our beloved commander is dead?” cried a soldier.

“Don’t you remember what Captain Rajski said last night? The Blessed Mother is watching over us! To the breech!” The men fought twice as hard as before. The Swedes began to waver slightly, but not by much. Their so-called “Lion of the North” monarch was an inspirational leader.

Then a flourish was heard. The awesome Winged Hussars had arrived. They came charging over the hill with a multitude of fury. The battle was over; a Polish victory was secured. Captain Rajski’s prediction came true. The Polish troops carried the day…with a little divine intervention.
