A nice video, even if the resolution is poor.

The BAI clearly seemed better than vanilla E:TW here. Except for firing their cannons straight into the hill.

It seems the only problem I saw there was their artillery not understanding the hill getting in the way of cannon

That, and you killed poor Nappy, which destroyed their morale (Not a bug, but it didn't do the French any favours, eh?)

It was a real shame that the enemy never really managed to place its artillery effectively - it might have made the battle pretty evenly matched. Almost straight away I think of Darthmod and the enemy getting its artillery unlimbered and targeting high priority units within seconds of battle openings. I wonder if the AI gives enough priority to protecting its general, too.

Great videos, the AI put up quite a fight. I particularly enjoyed seeing the improved squares in action. If I might make one suggestion for your future videos? Please turn off your speakers (or use headphones), as your mic was picking up a lot the sounds from your speakers and giving a sort of double-sound effect.

awsome video, it looked good to see the AI use melee in a way that made sense for once. too bad about the cannons, but everything else looked nice

Great battle. They seem to show a much greater challenge now, placing their priorities, flanking, protecting VIP's, forming a line! You may have just changed my mind for the better about buying this game

I honestly dont get all the praise going from that video, the AI allowed you to flank him with basic cavalry. The only interesting thing was that it tried to flank your artillery. But besides that, seeing the AI attack an uphill position to me just seemed completely stupid- and then use melee on already injured units was even more WTF.

All I got from that is the Unit Cohersion is much better.. but the AI isn't- its not that we just wanted the AI to form a line, we wanted the AI to attempt to break our lines- I didn't see much of that going on (if it was smart it would have put the army into two groups and flanked the hill- that was more of what I was expecting). Instead what it did was go straight for you.

granted it was one battle, but I don't see where all the praise is coming from. The AI doesn't look any better than Empire- the only difference is in NTW it can form a line.

To be honest I was bored by that video- it has nothing to do with what you did.. more to do with the AI just didn't impress me.

Just shows how much the modding community does in terms of development, its a wonder CA are the ones getting paid.

edit: wow at 8:10, that AI cavalry was running into his lines with a wedge formation to break through, but scattered out (turned off wedge) right before in order to get the most wide impact.

Well I’m sorry but I have to agree with post #15... I was not too impressed with the video, due to the Human Player showed me he was not tactician... I was hell the AI is playing its self, just kidding. You get what I mean... I guess I will have to buy the game to see if the AI is improved or not, do to kids will not know what tactics are even if they visit a library and look it up...And yes I was appalled to see the art crew firing into the side of the hill... Well I guess that’s an improvement over killing its own general. Do to the AI decided to park him in front of them like you see in ETW from time to time...
