Put campaign difficulty to easy.

But be warned, the AI will then be in it's absolutely true state, it gets no bonuses, it is raw.

And it's incredibly pathetic.

or you could mod it use DB editor and go campaign handicap tables and mod it how you like
2=very hard
1=hard
0=mediam
-1 or -2 im not sure which ones which but one of them is easy
and yes easy is the AI without money cheats

Easy is enjoyable, you can actually make the enemy bankrupt by trade blockades and such.

AI isn't retarded as much as people say, it's as retarded as it is on the harder difficulties just with less money, and more willing to agree!!! in a diplomatic sense. In a way it's much more entertaining I found than the harder difficulties and I could care less what anyone else says. It is no joy fighting an AI which has to win by cheating that still loses anyways.
