If I can get my labs for my classes done today I'm gonna play this tonight, I was worried about the campaign being constricted and short. Is the whole thing episodic, or is there a larger more open ended GC style campaign?

There are 3 campaigns for Napoleon - like a story mode. Actually there are 4, but you don't do much in the way of actual playing in the first one. That first one is the Tutorial (here's how you move, here's how you build stuff, etc)

The first real "campaign" is Italy, followed by Egypt and then Europe.

The Grand Campaign still exists (you need to finish the Tutorials to play as France) but its still there. It includes the coalition countries (Britain,Prussia,Austria,Russia (i think)).

There's plenty here for TW gamers, in the way of campaign modes. At least there appears to be from the couple of hours I played lastnight.

I don't care about playing as France, I just loathe RTI style episodic campaigns.

Ah. Well then you might not like that particular aspect of it then.

I personally don't mind the episodic nature of these mini-campaigns that much. But thats just me.

Is there still a grand campaign?

Does N:TW features carry over to E:TW? Or does N:TW kind of include the Grand campaign from E:TW, with their aditions?

I know it doesn't include the ETW campaign, which is a bummer.

Dunno yet. I only finished downloading it at around 9 pm lastnight and only got to play for about 2 hours before I had to hit the sack for work this morning.

The map, I know for sure, is smaller than ETW's map. So I guess it isn't as "grand" as ETW in that respect, but the map has more provinces in it now so the total province count is similar if not bigger outright.

    What's are the factions like?

Are there less playable factions? Are there less factions in total?

There are less playable factions from what I've been able to see so far. It goes with the smaller world map size, but it's a little disappointing.

I think that so far there is Great Britain, Prussia, Austria, Russia, France (once they're unlocked). Not sure how many other factions at the moment, although one modder on here is working on opening up the playable factions already (i think he's got Ottomans opened up for Grand Campaign)

When i get the game im gonna fiddle with the core files, so every campaign is unlocked for people that hate RTI style episodics.

You just add a registry key. It's very simple. I finished the Italian campaign so I could find the key, and then just increased the number of the key by one so I could get the European campaign without needing to do Egypt.

i actually heard that if you start and then exit each campaign they unlock anyway. no need to beat them to move onto the next.

I can confirm this. I started the Italian campaign and left and Egypt was unlocked.

Can anybody tell how many factions(including non-playable) there are in the Europe campaign?
Catch you on the flip side.

Sounds like the world domination style grand campaign has gone unless, I am merely reading wrong.

Think of an upscale Kingdoms with a lot more immersion and some sweet missions.
