    In ETW there was a very simple, but very useful file called preferences.empire_script

    It was found in ComputerName/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Empire/scripts (thats on vista) Obviously the file might now NTW equiviliant name and will probably be in its own NTW folder in the Creative Assembly file.

    Anyway, the original file had a line that read

    campaign_unit_multiplier

    And a line that read

    gfx_unit_scale

    I was wondering if this file and these lines still exist and if they can still be used to make battles larger?

    For starters, there was a line that read
    campaign_unit_multiplier 1; # campaign_unit_multiplier <float>, Set default unit multiplier for campaign #

    If you changed that line to read

    campaign_unit_multiplier 2.5; # campaign_unit_multiplier <float>, Set default unit multiplier for campaign #

    Battles would then be 2.5 times larger, so a unit of 160 men would become a unit of 320 men.

    There were a host of other things, mostly graphics related that it was useful for.

    Search the forums, I believe somebody mentioned they checked the pref file in NTW and it still has multiplier and free camera.
