I'd like to hear from history buffs how is Waterloo implemented (Ligny too if possible)...

    Is it challenging?

    Cheers

You have to play trough all historical battles.. so no one has played Waterloo yet.

But I played waterloo in multiplayer on a community event on 2vs2.
For that, its very small and the battle starts after 10 seconds, cause the french and british lines are about 200 metres away.
The prussian AI did a bad job and was just marching at the borders of the map without fighting.

I don't have the game yet, but I was afraid of that. I mean, we all are aware that the scale of the ETW engine battles is not "Battle of Waterloo", but rather "Battle at the Hougoumont". From the size of the battlefield and units etc. it more simulates parts of a large battle instead of the entire battle. Or is NTW actually doing a good job at stretching out the battlefield a bit?

The battlemap waterloo is quite big, when you play it as a custom battle in SP/MP.
As a historical scenario, its very small and both armies are near hougoumont and the battle starts after a few seconds.
