    Default Wow that was fast

As I've said many times, I don't like playing scenario based campaigns. After DLing and installing, I loaded the game, skipped over Napoleon's campaign and went to the grand coiltion or whatever it was called. Seeing I have 4 nations to choice from to play for 8 years, I laughed and closed the game. Waste of money and waste of a day (took about 4 hours to DL because of Steam being dumb and stopping the DL). Oh-well, atleast the opening was kinda neat LOL but this game doesn't appeal to me with what it offers.

Ofcourse, this is where people will say I knew what was offered, I shouldn't have bought it. Well, I bought it while I was still under the impression that it was going to augment Empire. Steam likes to charge in full on the date of purchase for pre-orders and they don't like to give money back either.. not that I had much time to ask for it, I only found out that it wasn't going to augment Empire 2 days ago because CA did a wonderful job getting the word out.

how about you try it again...actually, how about you try it for the first time. You need to know that the only scenario based campagins are that of napoleon in italy and egypt. The grand campaign with napoleon or the coalitions forces are like ETW. Also, you have more than 8 turns because each turn in the game = 2 weeks. So you have plenty of turns.
"we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all...

Wait you turned it off because you don't have enough countries to play and its a waste of money? I would agree with you if you know for the last 2 months the whole ETW community hasn't know that fact for 2 months now...... But this was no secret.

Nothing wrong with NTW. Its very fun game, the fact that you just shut it off and gave up.. Tells me your either

This is a really deeply constructed rant...

You have a Grand Campaign just like E:TW has. 1 for France and 1 for the coalition's major factions. You mention 8 years, need I remind you it's 2 week turns making it 200 turns total at least just like other TW games? And as the experienced TW gamer you are you know you can play beyond that.

The lack of nations than? So I assume you want to play Bavaria, Batavian republic or Hessen? Minor factions like these weren't playable in E:TW either!

So what exactly is your problem with it than?

Did you play ETW? In ETW you could continue playing after the 200 turns, so if NTW is like ETW was...

i am wondering this too. I know the game officially ends on a certain date, but like Empire, I wonder if you can keep going if you are having fun?

    lulz at thread

It was said several times in the past month that the Empire integration was canceled. You bought a game called "Napoleon" and are upset that you can only play as Napoleon or his enemies. Oh wait, scratch that - if you've ever played ANY Total War game ever, you'd realize that in a couple weeks you'll be able to play as any faction in the game.

So, let me get this straight.

You're criticizing a good game that CA worked hard on, just because there are only 4 playable faction (obviously DLC and faction unlocks will show up soon) to play for 8 years (mind you there's 2 weeks per turn. That's 56 turns per year, 8 years, around 346 turns. That's pretty high for any TW game)?

Not only that, but you don't even ATTEMPT to test out the game?

Sorry, I agree with your overall point but your maths is just terrible... there are 52 weeks in a year, divide that by 2 and you get 26 turns per year. Multiply 26 by 8 and you have 208 turns after 8 years.

Sorry, wasn't really paying attention to what I was typing there.

Anyway, considering the campaign map of N:TW is nearly as large as all of E:TW's maps combined, I really don't think anyone should worry about the campaign being short.

    1. By skipping the scenarios, you've cut out 4/5 of the NTW SP experience
    2. It's called Napoleon Total War, the scenario-based campaign was kinda a given
    3. With 2-week turns, 8 years is nothing to laugh at
    4. All the important countries are playable
    5. There weren't even that many countries in Europe any more, they'd all been assimilated
    6. Mods will allow for minor countries within the week
    7. CA did get the word out that it would not augment Empire. And even if they didn't do it particularly well, it was common knowledge on this site, the one you're on
    8. IT'S CALLED NAPOLEON TOTAL WAR, YOU DON'T SKIP THE NAPOLEON PART AND COMPLAIN ABOUT A LACK OF SUBSTANCE

I wash my hands of you, sir

Good day, I hope you remember to Push doors marked Push ectectra, you may struggle

yeah, 112 weeks per year sounded a bit strange.
But 208 turns is still more than Empire.

Never said it was, it was "RuleBrittannia" that had his math all wrong.
