Performance and Past Nvidia Issues

For those of you with the game, how is performance compared to Empire: Total War? For nvidia cards I don't see a profile for the game, but was anyone able to add it and see if SLI works? For those of you with ATI cards, does crossfire work?

Also for those of you with nvidia cards, are the glitches from E:TW gone (disappearing cities and guns, flickering UI, etc).

I use two 8800GT's in SLI, it worked for me. I never had any glitches and my use of SLI doubled my FPS.

My driver version is 8.17.11

Great to hear. Did you have to manually add a profile and enable SLI? Don't see a profile by default and I'm running the same driver version.

Yeah please post average fps (or general smoothness "feel") of Empire Total War, then Napoleon

I think I did, it was a while ago, but the driver I listed was the one I found the best with all my games.

This was Empire...never had an error ever with the game besides trying to use SLI very early and with a finicky driver.

FOr ETW, i ahd a 9800 gtx+ and it ran very good, but i have tried NTW yet, but when i do i will tell you whts its like, oh i also have a i7 920

I've got a GTX 295 2GB and a 3.2 q6600 CPU and recently, since the the latest patch my FPS's have improved, now, where as before I could only play with everything on high and 8xx for the AA and half of the boxes ticked I can now max everything, and have everything ticked.

This is just telling those people who haven't played E: TW since the most recent update.

When was the last update?

Guys no offense but I really don't want to hear E:TW performance just N:TW. This post was addressed toward people with N:TW and I only wanted to hear their results for confirmation for those who haven't gotten N:TW yet or are undecided about buying it because of past issues in E:TW.

You made it sound as if you had ETW problems.

I'm having trouble getting NTW to run properly with my 5870, which is odd because ETW works fine. Currently the game is unplayable for me.

Why? Nothing is as easy or hard as discovering why.

It's typically an end user issue.
