Faction Unlocking?

How do you unlock new factions to play in a Grand Campaign? I thought that you had to conquer the nation but I conquered 4-5 with Prussia and then none of them were there!

You can't unlock factions like in RTW / M2TW. You can only play the major factions (except the Mughals) unless you play a mod. In the mod section is a mod that unlocks all.

Apparently go here... you can't unlock factions but this patch makes them playable in an unofficial capacity!

I played with a minor faction once, and frankly the game is not the same! the diplomacy is skewed (in your favor as everyone else does not take you seriously)... and the units aren't as deep. so its really all about starting position.

Alright cool, I skipped the Road to Independence cause I didn't really want to do it, I didn't need to. I'm gonna finish it up fast.
